چکیده

Sexual size dimorphism (SSD) is widespread among animals and characterized by differences in body between sexes. Previous studies suggested SSD might reflect the adaptations of particular sexes to their specific reproductive or ecological roles. The large green cascade frogs ( Odorrana graminea ) exhibit obvious that females are nearly twice males. However, molecular mechanisms underlying O. still unknown. In present study, we first obtained 5 Gb transcriptome data through Illumina sequencing, de novo assembly produced 189,868 unigenes . A total 774 significantly sex-differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified. Of which, 436 DEGs showed higher expression levels than those males, whereas 338 lower We also found 10 related energy metabolism , these estrogen signaling pathway, oxidative phosphorylation, fatty acid biosynthesis, gastric secretion, nitrogen metabolism. steroid hormone synthesis be main driving force leading sexual growth addition, a 63,269 potential EST-SSR loci 4,669 detected validated different populations other species within assembled will facilitate functional genomic developed markers contribute population genetics involved provide insights into genetic

Evidence of genome duplication revealed by sequence analysis of multi-loci expressed sequence tag–simple sequence repeat bands in Panax ginseng Meyer

BACKGROUND Panax ginseng, the most famous medicinal herb, has a highly duplicated genome structure. However, the genome duplication of P. ginseng has not been characterized at the sequence level. Multiple band patterns have been consistently observed during the development of DNA markers using unique sequences in P. ginseng. METHODS We compared the sequences of multiple bands derived from uni...

Development of expressed sequence tag and expressed sequence tag–simple sequence repeat marker resources for Musa acuminata

BACKGROUND AND AIMS Banana (Musa acuminata) is a crop contributing to global food security. Many varieties lack resistance to biotic stresses, due to sterility and narrow genetic background. The objective of this study was to develop an expressed sequence tag (EST) database of transcripts expressed during compatible and incompatible banana-Mycosphaerella fijiensis (Mf) interactions. Black leaf ...

Expressed sequence tag-simple sequence repeat-based molecular variance in two Salicornia (Amaranthaceae) populations.

Salicornia spp is one of the most salt-tolerant vascular plants and is native to salt marshes and estuaries. We developed expressed sequence tag derived-simple sequence repeat (EST-SSR) markers for estimating genetic diversity and marker-assisted Salicornia breeding. Six polymorphic EST-SSRs of 40 detected 27 alleles, ranging from three to five alleles per locus. The average number of alleles p...

Diversity Analysis in Cannabis sativa Based on Large-Scale Development of Expressed Sequence Tag-Derived Simple Sequence Repeat Markers

Cannabis sativa L. is an important economic plant for the production of food, fiber, oils, and intoxicants. However, lack of sufficient simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers has limited the development of cannabis genetic research. Here, large-scale development of expressed sequence tag simple sequence repeat (EST-SSR) markers was performed to obtain more informative genetic markers, and to asse...

Development of expressed sequence tag-simple sequence repeat markers for genetic characterization and population structure analysis of Praxelis clematidea (Asteraceae).

Invasive plants tend to spread aggressively in new habitats and an understanding of their genetic diversity and population structure is useful for their management. In this study, expressed sequence tag-simple sequence repeat (EST-SSR) markers were developed for the invasive plant species Praxelis clematidea (Asteraceae) from 5548 Stevia rebaudiana (Asteraceae) expressed sequence tags (ESTs). A...
